Dear Donors,
On behalf of Hindo and his community, thank you very much for your generous support of this request! We now have enough funding for at least a dozen computers. We are working through the logistics of getting the computers to Bumpe, as costs are much lower to purchase and ship from North America. Unfortunately, due to the serious Ebola epidemic currently affecting Sierra Leone, Hindo's focus has been on sensitization and prevention work in his community and in neighbouring areas.
He will be meeting with customs officials to confirm the best process for shipping and receiving the donated equipment while minimizing any duties/taxes. We may also explore having someone travelling to Sierra Leone transport them for us if it seems a courier service might not have success with the importing process.
We'll post another update as soon as we have more details from Hindo. Until then, we've included some photos of his recent work on Ebola prevention.
