Dear Donors,
Warm greetings!!
Thank you for your support for this project for running computer centers in different underprivileged communities in Pune and nearby areas. The centers are running successfully and attracting many youth and women as people are now aware of the fact that computer literacy has become a necessity, like food and shelter. As we move towards a global change, it is all the more important to provide access to computers in rural India for the progress and development of our nation.
We are running 3 NDLM(National Digital Literacy Mission) centers in different communities for propagating computer education among the poor and marginalized communities. We conduct a 3-month course here.
We also provide computers and laptops in various study centers and schools in slums, with the help of your generous donation from people like you.
Our NDLM centers run basic computer courses for youth and women, which help them to find jobs and to use computer and smart phones at ease. We conduct cyber awareness programs and financial literacy classes also in these centers. Women find these 3-month courses really useful in their day to day life and it makes easy for them to book tickets, make online payments .etc. Youth find this course really helpful as they are able to search for jobs online and knowledge in excel and Word, make it easier for them to find a job as every job requires basic computer operation nowadays.
In our eLearning centers, instructors teach students various subjects with the help of an eLearning software. This helps the children to access quality education and bring up their standard of learning. We have started a new computer center in Bhor too. Here we conduct short term computer courses to women, which will help them to handle computers and smart phones with confidence.
Once again, thank you very much for your generous donation.
