UTKARSH School is situated in a small village called GARHI in central India. This school provides education to rural poor children's, the school run by a non profit making organization. There are 203 students from KG-I to Class 8th. The students are from tribal and other backward communities, these children's have not seen and touch the computer. School has plan to provide computer literacy to all these children's. This project will be very useful to these children in their life.
The area where we are working is remote and very limited education facilities, this is tribal dominated area and the people living under below poverty line. Drop out rate in school is high in this area, the children's not getting opportunity to learn which is basic requirement. Good quality education is the right of the children and we are trying this through this school.
Today everywhere is demand of IT and when the children's are familiar with computer and internet they will have opportunity to move forward and will have linkages and exposure of the world. Children will have skill and knowledge. We are already working with Taking IT Global to educate youths on media. This project will definitely give very good impact in the life of children's.
Children's will be skilled and able to access information through internet and able to compete with other children's worldwide. Children's from Tribal and other backward community will be role model in future for their community.
