Our growing program empowers five vulnerable, young pregnant mothers from impoverished rural and peri-urban communities near Baruta. These mothers, including a 14-year-old who has left school and four others attending high school, receive vital prenatal care encompassing medical attention, tests, imaging, necessary medications and vitamins, and baby supplies. Crucially, they also receive psychosocial guidance to strengthen their lives and their babies' futures. The program provides essential education on pregnancy, childbirth, and infant care, alongside fostering self-esteem and positive family dynamics. To ensure safe deliveries, they are connected with hospitals and provided with comprehensive medical reports. Recognizing their need for economic independence, the program offers training in trades like pastry and hairdressing, equipping them with entrepreneurial skills to improve their living conditions and encourage personal and family advancement. By addressing their health, providing education, and fostering economic opportunities, this program aims to break the cycle of neglect and empower these young mothers to build better lives for themselves and their children.
