September 2026 Report

By Pst Anne Njeri | Chief Executive Office

We sincerely thank you for the support received from GlobalGiving, which enabled Compassionate Hands for the Disabled Foundation to maintain and strengthen the provision of quality, professional, compassionate, and impactful services to children with disabilities. The support has contributed to an integrated approach to care, addressing children’s needs across health, education, hygiene, rehabilitation, and daily care while promoting dignity, safety, and improved quality of life.

Health and Medical Support

GlobalGiving’s contribution has helped ensure that children have continued to receive essential health and medical support, including routine health assessments, referrals, follow-up care, and therapeutic interventions. Regular monitoring has enabled caregivers and professionals to identify health concerns at an early stage and facilitate appropriate intervention. These services have contributed to improved physical well-being, better management of health needs, and increased participation in daily activities, learning, and rehabilitation. The continued availability of professional health support has been essential in ensuring that each child’s individual needs are addressed appropriately.

Education and Learning Support

Your support has continued to promote access to inclusive and individualized education for children with disabilities. Support provided through GlobalGiving has contributed to a more enabling learning environment where children could participate according to their abilities, developmental levels, and individual educational needs. The children have benefited from structured learning activities and appropriate educational support, contributing to improved participation, confidence, communication, social interaction, and development of practical skills. Educators and caregivers have also been better positioned to respond to the diverse learning requirements of the children.

Hygiene, Sanitation, and Daily Care

GlobalGiving’s support has contributed to maintaining appropriate hygiene and sanitation standards within the children’s care environment. Access to essential hygiene supplies, clean water, sanitation resources, and structured personal-care routines has helped promote a safe and healthy environment. Improved hygiene practices have contributed to the prevention of avoidable health risks while promoting dignity, comfort, confidence, and overall well-being. These interventions have been particularly important for children who require additional assistance with personal hygiene and daily activities.

Rehabilitation and Therapy Services

Rehabilitation and therapy have continued to be a central component of the project’s impact. Through the support received, children have been able to access professional interventions such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and psychosocial support based on their individual needs. Consistent therapy has contributed to gradual and meaningful improvements in mobility, coordination, strength, communication, functional ability, independence, and emotional well-being. The progress made by the children has also provided encouragement and renewed hope for their families and caregivers.

Quality, Professionalism, and Accountability

A major priority throughout has been maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism. GlobalGiving’s partnership has strengthened our ability to provide structured and coordinated services while maintaining accountability in the use of resources. Services were delivered with professional oversight, regular monitoring, follow-up, and attention to each child’s individual needs. This approach has helped ensure that donor support translates into practical outcomes and meaningful improvements in the lives of the children.

Overall Impact

Overall, GlobalGiving’s support has made a meaningful contribution to improving the quality of life of children with disabilities. By addressing their needs holistically through health care, education, hygiene, rehabilitation, therapy, and daily care. The project has created an environment where children are better supported to learn, develop, participate, and achieve greater independence.

The impact extends beyond the children to their families and caregivers, who continue to benefit from improved support, professional guidance, and greater hope for the children’s development and future.

Your support has enabled us to provide services that are not only accessible, but also professional, high-quality, compassionate, and focused on measurable impact. We remain committed to responsible stewardship of donor resources and to ensuring that every contribution creates meaningful and lasting change.
