Although regional tensions have eased since mid-June, access to healthcare in Lebanon remains severely disrupted. Attacks on health facilities, insecurity, and shortages of staff, medicines and medical supplies have forced 35 primary healthcare centres and five hospitals to close (OCHA), while rising health needs continue to place immense pressure on an already overstretched health system.
Thanks to your generosity, International Health Partners (IHP) has been able to bridge the gap between people in Lebanon and the healthcare they need. Since the escalation of the conflict in March 2026, IHP has delivered essential medicines worth more than $330,000, enabling over 114,700 patients across Lebanon to receive the treatment they need. This includes Essential Health Packs (EHPs), which act as portable pharmacies containing a broad range of primary healthcare medicines that can be rapidly deployed to meet urgent needs during a crisis.
The impact of this support is being felt across Lebanon's health system. After receiving an IHP medicines donation, Rania Sultan, Chief Pharmacist at Tripoli Public Hospital, reflected:
