Happy holidays! We hope your new year is off to a great start. We are excited to share with you some photographs from our recent holiday party with our OEV children.
For over 10 years, Project Medishare has been providing children ages 4-18 and their families with health, education and protection services, along with psycho-social and spiritual support. This Orphan and Vulnverable children (OEV) program was launched in Lahoye, a rural community near Haiti's border with the Dominican Republic.
Recently, we gathered all the children enrolled in our programs so they could enjoy a fun afternoon together. While we regularly host educational activities for them, this was a day for them to unwind and welcome the holiday season together.
The children enjoyed snacks, music and plenty of games. Some of the children even participated in a talent show, performing songs for their peers. After a special lunch, everyone received their presents, for which they were very grateful.
We think hosting special days like these is important in promoting the wellbeing of these children. It's important they feel they have a safe space where they can have fun with their friends and fellow community members. Your donations will allow us to continue hosting special days like this one.
We look forward to sharing updates with you as the new year progresses.
