Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) has been carrying out impactful climate advocacy campaign in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, to reduce the devastating effects of climate change in the region and possibly around the world; by working with multi-stakeholder groups and community members to protect and restore ecosystems in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, through tree planting, strengthening the role of civil society in climate movement, advocating for climate policy and organizing climate meetings on dangers of deforestation, importance of regenerative agriculture and ecosystems conservation in Cameroon.
Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) has nursed 10,000 economic and medicinal tree seedlings in Kumbo, with the participation and support of over 100 community members, including; children, youths, women and smallholder farmers. The trees will be voluntarily distributed to 100 smallholder farmers to plant on their farm fields to fight climate change while increasing income and food security in the region. This milestone is made possible by donations made through GlobalGiving and volunteer support from the local community.
The total budget for this project is $100,000 and IAA has so far raised $10, this is insignificant to realize this project. However, IAA is grateful to all its supporters and donations made through GlobalGiving and continue to welcome your donation of any amount to address the common global issue (climate change) that affect communities and countries to varrying degrees.
Thank you for being part of our community of donors and for being a climate warrior. Without your donation, we would not be able to continue this incredible work!
