Challenge

Many young people and the community at large in Shauri Moyo do not know the importance environmental awareness and the importance of its protection. Primary pupils have a major role to play in ensuring that they take care of the environment by planting a tree during their primary school life. Through our environmental program, we have been able to reach 350 pupils, with girls being the majority at 178 from non-formal and formal primary school in Shauri moyo .

Solution

Kick and conserve environment project will give participants a chance to be aware with their environment by making sure that they have the knowledge needed to protect the earth by having the necessary information about environmental conservation and most importantly planting a tree while they were still young.

Long-Term Impact

The project will give the youths in Nairobi an opportunity to participate in increasing the rate of forest cover in Kenya, This consequently will ensure that we continue to raise our voices as a community for the preservation and protection of our environment.
