1 in 5 women are violated at least once in their lifetime in Nepal . A safe public space where women can effectively learn and lead is very critical. The community hub will provide safe co-working space, resources and workshops to strengthen leadership & entrepreneurship to at least 30 young women in Nepal in one year. This space is an opportunity for young women to have access to safe co-working spaces, collaborate with each other, foster their ideas, and strengthen their networks.
51% of the population is women in Nepal. However, the status of women is far from ideal. Lack of safe working spaces, access to opportunities & resources, space to learn and "rightly" implement their ideas drives many young women with great ideas out of the market. Despite the growing co-working space market in Nepal, none of them cater to the need of young women entrepreneurs. In its first year, the hub will enable 30 young women with safe and well equipped space to learn and lead their ideas.
The hub will provide co-working space to 30 young women entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs are provided various trainings and workshops on capacity building, financial and team management, opportunity optimization, leadership, sales and marketing to enhance their ideas & themselves to build economically viable products/services. The hub will also enable collaboration and mentorship opportunities between like-minded organizations/leaders to strengthen young women's network and capacity in Nepal.
The project will provide services to 30 women helping them foster their ideas and turn them into livelihood opportunities. The opportunities and resources provided through the hub will enhance the market access of these young women, and strengthen their personal and professional self to build sustainable products and ventures. Hence, this will enable women to be financially independent, and self-reliant allowing them to rise above poverty, gender based violence and patriarchy.
