Report of the project

By Ekabole Joy | CEO/Founder

Nutrition Gardens Project Report The Nutrition Gardens Project is a community-based initiative designed to combat malnutrition, poor dietary habits, and food insecurity among underserved families, children, and vulnerable communities. With a total fundraising goal of $70,000, the project will establish 100 nutrition gardens during the first year, reaching more than 800 beneficiaries in homes, schools, and clinics. Many households struggle to access fresh and affordable vegetables and depend heavily on starchy or processed foods. This contributes to nutrient deficiencies, poor health, weakened immunity, and developmental challenges among children. Limited knowledge about balanced nutrition further increases these challenges. The project will address these problems by providing participants with seeds, gardening tools, practical training, and nutrition education. Beneficiaries will learn sustainable, low-cost gardening techniques and how to prepare balanced meals using vegetables and herbs grown locally. Schools and clinics will also serve as important centers for promoting healthy eating and sustainable agriculture. In the long term, the project will improve household nutrition, strengthen food security, and increase community resilience against hunger and poverty. Children are expected to benefit from improved diets, supporting healthier growth, learning, and school participation. The gardens will also encourage environmental responsibility and sustainable agricultural practices. Through community participation and continued education, the project aims to create lasting change by empowering families and young people to produce nutritious food while building healthier, more self-reliant communities. Total Project Goal: $70,000 First-Year Target: 100 Gardens Expected Beneficiaries: 800+ People Project Duration: 1 Year
