Community health Programme in Sundarban

Trishita* Mondal is a Student of 3^rd Standard in our model school ‘Kishalaya Sishu Siksha Niketan’. She is a good learner since the very beginning. She hails from the same village where the school is located i.e. Nandakumarpur under Mathurapur II administrative block of South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, India.

Her father Mr. Swapan* Mondal is a Mason by profession and the lone earner of the family. With irregular earning he manages to earn around INR 5000.00 per month on an average. Her mother Mrs. Manali* Mondal is a homemaker and manages the family’s requirements in steep financial hardship.

Dealing with Computers is happening for the first time for her, as the tutorial for imparting knowledge in Computers starts from 3^rd standard in the School. She has just started her new class in 3^rd standard this January’20 only.

As observed her interest in operating Computers is gradually increasing. Her enjoyment with Computers is noticed since the very first day. In her words, “I am visiting the Computers Room for the first time. It is amazing to see so many Computers together”

She is gradually getting acquainted with the various parts of Computers and their functions. Hitting the left and right click of the Mouse was a moment of excitement for her. Within a very short time she has already learnt to change the Screen Saver. She has learnt to open and handle the Paints Applications. With energy and excitements Trishita* says, “I want to buy a Computer when I’ll be grown up.”
