Peace remains elusive, and every day lives are lost and women are subjected to sexual violence as a result of the activities of armed groups.
The eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to face persistent insecurity caused by armed groups, resulting in loss of life, sexual violence against women and girls, population displacement, and the breakdown of social cohesion. The lack of effective dialogue and peacebuilding mechanisms has contributed to ongoing tensions and violence, preventing communities from living together peacefully and hindering sustainable development
