While we await highly needed donations in future, we also apreciate earlier donations which are helping us effectively act to realise the goal of assisting to provide clean fresh pipeborne water to 300 households of Kelang Weh by constructing 1  spring site water chamber up hill, 3000 gallons water storage tank down hill connected by PVC pipes to 5 stand up pipes as well as offering training on water management.

On the 25th July 2024, the field coordinator of the project, held an inclusive meeting with the local residents and leaders of the Kelang Community. The aim of the meeting was to offer an opportunity to share ideas on the project, further undersdand the need for the clean water supply infrastructure and the urgency to build and run a good water management capacity as well as visit 3 proposed up hill spring sources in order to decide on the most suitable 1 to be used in the project. The meeting was attended by 17 participants including the Chief of Kelang HRH Dr. Bang, Paramount Fon of Weh HRM Fon Mbuh II, 1 pipeborne water technician, 3 representatives of 3 local youth- and women-led associations and 11 (3 women, 3 girls and 2 man and 3 boys) members of the Kelang community. The meeting covered 1 hour and resulted in the formation of 3 groups that visited 3 spring sites proposed to host the up hill water chamber. After the 3 visits led by the project coordinator, 1 site was draftly  confirmed as most suitable to host the spring water collection chamber up hill.

The sites will undergo further monitoring-evaluation before the actual construction of the clean fresh water pipeline infrastructure and training of the water management body and eventual inauguration into operation for which we highly solicit urgent donations to realise to save the people of Kelang Weh from waterborne diseases as well as advance their agricultural and eco-friendly practices in future .
