Lebanon is known for it's spirit of celebration. We saw it in the revolution in 2019. But this spirit has been dampened, as hope for a change slowly dwindles. Triumphant Mercy wants to bring this culture back by bringing together the community with food and fun to inject a shot of hope into the darkness. Since the economic decline, many struggle to afford food, especially meat so TM wants to host quarterly BBQs to rejuvenate this celebration.
Over the last five years Lebanon has gone through many different trials ( Syrian refugee crisis, economic crash, the explosion in 2020, the effects of Covid 19). Depression and hopelessness has overtaken the culture and now Lebanon has been ranked the angriest nation by Gallup statistics. Families can't pay bills, afford food especially meat with many having gone months without tasting chicken.
Bringing together the community for a sense of fun will bring a light in the darkness to those lost in depression. It gives a time of fun for children who's parents cannot afford to do special outings for them and injects a sense of hope that brings back that spark of celebration lying dormant in the heart of the Lebanese.
Having these events quarterly will grow our community introducing us to new people in need. Children and adults also know they have something to look forward to each quarter even if the things around them look gloomy.
