By Rocio Gonzalez | Executive Director, Futaleufu Riverkeeper
September marks the sixth month of our community-based water monitoring program Futaleufú, and monitoring has been going well. In the face of the unprecedented changes of the pandemic, our volunteer monitors have diligently continued to carry out their monitoring. To date, we have over 40 data points from our 9 monitoring sites documenting pH, alkalinity, hardness, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and turbidity.
Along with continuing to monitor, we are now working on analyzing and presenting our first batch of data and looking ahead to our monitor recertification early next year. Thanks again for making this program possible with your generous donation!
