Man animal conflict is a humanly challenge in wildlife management and biodiversity conservation in India, this project secures farmers yearly livelihood & saves Elephant (Elephas maximus). 15,000 houses 10,00,000 ha of crops damage stay evidence of conflict every year. Due to anger and hardship farmers connect 440 volts electric line to farm fence, 200 Elephants die of electrocution and 200 humans die of conflict. Solar power fence will save wildlife, reduce man elephant conflict.
Conflict villages are surrounded by forest on all sides. No barriers to stop crop raiding wildlife. ground conflict is becoming eternal due to crop raid loss devouring the only source of livelihood to farmers. conflict succumbs human life and their property, un- addressed wildlife becomes an eternal enemy and die due to electrocution, poisoning, shooting as action taken by farmers as revenge killing,both wildlife and humans are affected.solar powered fence protects farm crop and saves wildlife
Solar fence gives a short but safe shock to wild animals if they come in contact with the fence.Erection of solar fence to farmer's agriculture land prevents crop damage from wild animals especially elephants.Ensures food security, social stability and quality of life for the people co-existing with wildlife. This project initiates to foster establishment of sustainable mitigation measures. revenge killing ends,solar powered fence protects farm crop also from wild pig and deer, saves wildlife.
Prevent entry of wild animals into human habitation, permanent crop security. Human and elephant deaths due to intense conflict ends, peaceful life. Community participation sponsored by employing local people for solar fence erection and maintenance, long term intuition to save wildlife.
