Educating out of school Children with Disabilities

The children with disabilities who are part of the Community Based Enrichment Program or CBEP received free services like developmental assessment of the children as they enter the program and whey go int transition from center based to regular school. Aside from this, they also receive free educational supplies and soon childrens story books.

For this year, a pilot program on free therapy services will be given to selected children with disabilities who were carefully handpicked by the Las Pinas Persons with Disability Federation Inc who qualifies to the program. 20 children with disabilities who underwent developmental assessment last 2024 and 2025 will be given free behavioural therapy specifically designed for them by a developmental psychologist. The therapy program will be for 6 months afterwhich an evaluation will be done by the doctor and if the child still needs an extension therapy program , it will be extended for another 6 months. Children with Autism level 2 - level 3 and those with ADHD with moderate to severe level of behavioural conditions were prioritized in the selection process. The support of the parents and those belonging to low income families were also some of the considerations looked into by LPPWDFI for choosing the 20 children with disabilities.

Last May 2025, the parents/guardians of the 20 selected children with disability were given orientation by LPPWDFI together with the Focal Person for persons with disabilities , to explain their roles and responsilities in the program inorder to effectively implement the program  and achieve its goal of improving the behavioural condition of the child. The program starts at the end of june 2025.
