Because ALL Children Matter, is building a 100% Self-Sustainable Rescue/Rehabilitation Centre where women, children, and survivors currently trying to survive one day at a time, on the streets of Nairobi will be given medical treatment, food, shelter and education.
Currently Nairobi has over 70,000 women and children calling the streets their home and this number is growing daily. 60% of the women and children living on the streets in Nairobi are there due to physical abuse, rape or runaways from FGM and child marriage. They then have babies while living on the streets and those babies grow up and in turn have their babies while living on the streets. This cycle will continue unless they get the proper help they need, our centre is a solution.
Because ALL Children Matter will provide, food, shelter, education, and medical treatments to the women and children. The women will be trained in a career so when they leave the centre they can and will be self sustainable living on their own. Children under 12 will be reunited with a healthy family.
The centre will be a revolving door, not a forever home. Once the women are healthy and able to leave we can then fill their spot with a new person, continuing to operate this way will have a larger impact and be able to help thousands instead of just a few. This is phase one of our build, this project is for our women's dorm, nursery, kitchen and dining room.
