Children with albinism are often discriminated against by other children who have been misinformed and wrongly believe that people with albinism are witches or sorcerers. Because of these prejudices, many of them drop out of school or do not have access to quality education. Girls with albinism are especially vulnerable and may face exploitation, violence, and abuse due to harmful beliefs that they can bring wealth or good fortune.
