Discover WOW Tanzania's "Cafe for a Cause" in USA River, where great food and coffee create real impact. All profits support widows, children, and orphans through jobs, nutrition education, job training programs, and food access. We provide employment and training for single parents and youth, while helping vulnerable children stay in school and receive consistent meals. Every purchase helps build a brighter future-one meal, one job, one training certificate, and one child at a time.
Tanzania remains one of the world's poorest nations, where high unemployment and widespread poverty leave many families struggling to survive. Nearly half the population lives on less than $1.90 a day, making it difficult to afford basic needs like food, shelter, and education. There is also limited education on nutrition, and many children are malnourished or sick due to poverty, unsafe water, poor-quality oils, pesticides, and contaminated foods.
Our cafe addresses these challenges by creating real opportunities. We employ and train widows, impoverished youth, and vulnerable single-parent families, providing sustainable income, training certificates, and practical skills. All profits support our NGO programs, which focus on education, nutrition, food security, and poverty reduction. We also teach healthy cooking and food safety to combat malnutrition and illness caused by unsafe water and poor-quality foods.
Our long-term vision is self-sustainability through locally generated income. By creating jobs and funding our NGO through the cafe, we reduce dependence on external aid. This model empowers communities with stable employment while supporting education, nutrition, healthcare, clean water, and sanitation initiatives. As we grow, we aim to expand opportunities, strengthen food security, and equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed for lasting, generational change.
