Dear Friend,
We continue to be inspired by the young digital makers that make up our community. We are grateful for your continued support and hope you’ll enjoy these updates of what your support makes possible.
Coolest Projects Global 2022
We wrapped up Coolest Projects Global last month and were astonished at the digital creations from young people from across the globe. I’d invite you to look through the judge’s favourite submissions here. While this year’s event has ended, we continue to be inspired by all the unique projects submitted and are already ramping up for next year’s event.
Community member: Jay
We recently shared the story of community member Jay. Jay got into coding at a young age because he became curious about creating games. With encouragement from his teachers, he soon found a community of like-minded young people at coding workshops and CoderDojo. After honing his skills and developing cost-effective robotics projects for Coolest Projects, Jay decided to start passing on his knowledge to others. Now he regularly teaches coding and physical computing to children and adults in his community, something he absolutely loves to do. Watch Jay’s video to see what he’s learned from his incredible journey with computing.
Behind the scenes: website updates
We’ve been working hard over the past few months making updates to our website and are excited to share a beta version with you! Based on feedback from our community, we made resources easier to find. We want the new site to be available in the languages used by our community. The beta site is launching in Dutch, English, and Japanese. We’d love it to be available in even more languages so even more people can learn about and bring CoderDojo to their areas. If you’re interested, you can sign up to translate the new website here.
We appreciate your continued support of the CoderDojo community!
With gratitude,
Jana
