Empower Albanian rural girls through coding skills

Dear Supporter,

We are delighted to share that, thanks to your support and the contributions of our local partners, this year we were able to exceed our original goal and reach 59 girls and young women with coding and digital skills training, far beyond the number initially anticipated.

Through a collaborative approach implemented in partnership with the Durrës Youth Center and the National Youth Agency, participants took part in a four practical sessions training on web design, Python programming, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation. They built their first personal websites, learned the fundamentals of coding logic, worked with AI-connected tools, and completed applied programming projects.

This partnership-based approach enabled us to expand opportunities for girls to gain valuable digital skills and confidence in a field where women remain significantly underrepresented in Albania.

As Meisi one of the participant shared:

“Artificial intelligence and digitalization are transforming the way we learn, think, work, and dream about the future. We live at a time when digital skills are a necessity. Through these trainings I learned the basics of programming and coding, strengthened my digital skills, and even learned how to build and design a professional website.” 

Together with our partners and supporters, we are helping more girls discover their potential in technology and take important first steps toward future education and employment opportunities in the digital economy.
