His mother's eyes filled with tears of anxiety when he said, "I want to become a doctor." Sabeer's (name changed) father has vices and spends most of his earnings on it. His mother being a housewife, finds it difficult to run the family and educate her children. Sabeer is in 7th standard and his sister, in 2nd standard. They can continue their studies with subsidized tuition costs in their neighbourhood government school. However, this was not enough - he could barely pass the courses each year, and his difficult social and economic circumstances stood in the way of his dreams.
Sabeer is studying well after he joined the coaching class conducted by New Life. With the conducive environment and the support systems provided by the evening sessions, he is able to score substantively higher than before. His confidence in his goal also seems to have improved. With continued support and his perseverance, his dream will come true very soon.
There are many children in the Kajapet coaching class, whose parents are involved in activities that conflict with law. There are children of sex workers, thieves, hooligans, etc. If these children are not coached and helped in their studies, there is every chance that they drop out from school. They are very much vulnerable to abuse and there are high chances that they also turn juvenile delinquents. The continued support you give through your donations help New Life to guide them and see that there is a reduction in the number of children turning delinquents. Thank you for being a partner in this wonderful project.
In the month of December the children wrote their half yearly exams. The results are being awaited not only by the children but also by our teachers.
The project is being funded last quarter through local donations and borrowals from friends. If the project gets more support the children can be accomodated in a better place. This can be done from the year 2017 as the project is awarded the Global Giving's Community Grant of $10279.08 which is expected to be received in the first quarter of 2017.
Dear Donors, continue to support our project and thus these lovely children. Support their dreams by helping them to continue their studies. Also kindly spread words to your friends and relatives who are generous like you. Your words carry weight.
Thanking you and wishing you a happy, peaceful, prosperous and blessed NEW YEAR!
