Climate Kids Outreach-Cameroon

Integrated Agricultural Association aimed at nature educational outreach to support environmental literacy and green practices, empowering kids 10-25 in communities and urban and rural schools without prior foundation sustainability education, to become future environmental leaders. It aims to work with 5000 kids, educating them on climate issues, ecosystem restoration and protection, conservation, biodiversity and sustainability in Cameroon.

100 youths have been mobilized along the the coastal communities of Southwest Cameroo, to create awarness about marine littering and plastic pollution in the area. Young people learned by doing in beach and street clean up, freshwater ecosystem, marine health and wildlife. A partnership with a local sanitation and recycling company was sought and over 25000 tons of waste collected by the participants was received and carried to the appropriate waste management site by the local company in charge. With enthusiasm and passion of young people, their greatest aspiration is to influence their communities to have positive behaviour in environmental management and protection.
