The Climate Education Program for 300 Students in Bauchi State is currently ongoing, with implementation activities progressing gradually despite limited financial support. At this stage, the project has not yet received donor contributions toward its $3,200 funding goal, which continues to affect the pace and scale of planned activities. However, preparatory engagement with selected schools and facilitators has begun to ensure the project remains active while additional funding is being sought.
Initial coordination efforts have focused on identifying participating schools, developing climate education materials, and planning interactive learning sessions for students. The project team is also preparing for the establishment of student climate clubs that will promote environmental awareness and practical community actions such as tree planting and waste management.
Financial support remains the project’s greatest need at this stage. Additional funding will enable the full rollout of training sessions, educational materials, facilitator support, and student-led environmental activities. With adequate support, the project will equip 300 students with practical climate knowledge and empower them to become advocates for environmental sustainability and climate resilience within their schools and communities.
