Bonswa GlobalGiving Family,
We hope all has been well and you are experiencing a wonderful Fall season! When you last heard from us, we had been meeting all throughout the summer, planning and preparing for our upcoming Partner Community Visit (PCV) in December. One of the goals for this trip was for our Partner Community to begin construction on the next 15 latrines. Unfortunately, due to the current political, social and economic instability in Haiti, we, along with our project managers and Partner Communities on the ground, have decided to postpone our visit until 2020. For C2C and our Partner Communities, this was a very difficult decision to make, as this is the first year, in C2C history, we have not been able to travel to Haiti and work with our Partner Communities in the nine years we have been operating. Therefore, we adapted and adjusted by holding planning meetings via email, WhatsApp, and Zoom. The country's current situation has not prevented our communication and planning with our Partner Communities on a monthly basis, as it relates to the next latrine constructions and their proposal regarding building a trade school within the community as well. Their spirits and optimism for a resolution to their current situation remain high and positive, as does ours. We continue to plan and prepare so that we will be ready for the work to start again in 2020. Thank you for your continued support and we hope to share more progress made in our next report in the new year. Until next time, be well and have a wonderful holiday season!
