As part of its unwavering commitment to poverty alleviation and community development, Vision Center International (VCI) has officially launched the Love Kitchen Program—a compassionate initiative aimed at providing nutritious meals to children in underserved communities who lack access to regular daily meals. Tragically, some children survive on just one meal a day, others do hungry all day.
The food drive took place at VCI’s corporate office in Dutsen Kura, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria, where about 300 children received a warm, nourishing meal. While a single meal may not eliminate hunger, it offers comfort, dignity, and a powerful reminder to every child that they are seen, valued, and loved.
The program was complimented with games and other activities like a dancing competition to take the minds of these vulnerable population away from the struggles they face so early in life.
Looking ahead, VCI hopes to expand the Love Kitchen into a weekly outreach program—bringing consistent support, nourishment, and hope to vulnerable children, one meal at a time.
