Access to safe water in Cambodia is a major challenge for the majority of the population. According to UN and UNICEF data, a staggering 72% of Cambodian households do not have access to a safely managed water supply. The situation in schools is equally alarming, with 22% lacking any water supply and 37% without basic sanitation facilities.
Planet Water Foundation continues our work in Cambodia. To date, our efforts have resulted in over 400 clean water projects, providing access to clean, safe water to over 580,000 people.
As of August, we have identified potential project sites and are looking forward to making an impact upon securing the necessary funds to cover the cost of the project.
