CAMBODIA: Giving the Gift of Water

By Kristen Steele | Director, Education PW, Team Leader

Happy New Year!

Thanks to all of your kind hearts and generous donations, Planet Water has continued to be able to fundraise in efforts to bring clean, safe water and hygiene education to those in need in Cambodia.

Your support, especially in the month of December, gave the gift of water to so many children in need. Right now, today, over 1,000 children and their family members have seen a dramatic decrease in incidents of chronic diarrhea resulting from drinking safe water and receiving hygiene education.

Do you know what this means?.... a decrease in absenteeism for the school children - allowing for more time spent at school and less time spent at home sick.  This also means that young children and women can spend their days getting an education and helping to create economic prosperity in their communities instead of collecting water for hours each day.

Once again, thank you for giving the gift of water  - your continued donations and support in these efforts are getting us closer to being able to deploy an AquaTower in Chey Village soon, so that another 1,000 lives can be transformed!
