It's been less than a year since your generous donations brought clean water and hygiene education to Taek Primary School in Siem Reap, and already you have transformed the lives of hundreds... Here's how...
Seng Sreilleak, school Headmaster, explains that, "since the AquaTower and Water-Health & Hygiene education program, 98% of our students transformed to drinking clean water and washing their hands regularly. Our school attendance is very much improved, and the student's families come to collect clean water because they've changed their habits too!"
A third grade teacher at Taek Primary, Saem Channan, is now able to teach her students about germs and how they spread, along with how and when to wash their hands through the hygiene education program. She explained that since she's been teaching the education program in her class, "I noticed my student's skin has much improved because they drink the clean water now."
Chhun Vannchhai, a 6th grade student, describes the impact your donations have made in just a few words, "I love this AquaTower very much! Now my family has no diarrhea. My father comes three times a week to the school to collect clean water from the tower. I wish to see that more AquaTowers be installed in other communities to help kids like me."
We wish to see the same - we are still fundraising for an AquaTower in the neighboring village of Chey. We only need $7,000 to provide 1,000 more children and community members with clean, safe water and hygiene education for the first time!
A big 'Thank You' for your generosity and support from the school and community of Taek!
