Dear Friend,
In the heart of Mathare, every Saturday brings quiet hope.
Over 50 children with disabilities arrive at our center — some in wheelchairs, some in the arms of their parents — all seeking one thing: the chance to be seen, supported, and strengthened.
Thanks to your support, our Clean Plate Nutrition and Therapy Project has continued to offer free Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Behavior Therapy to these children. Many of them are on the autism spectrum, have cerebral palsy, or face developmental challenges that make daily life harder. Yet, week after week, we witness small but powerful milestones: a child holding a spoon for the first time, another saying their first word, or simply learning to make eye contact.
This quarter, we also distributed over 150 food parcels to families — ensuring children not only receive therapy but have the nutrition needed for real growth.
One story we’ll never forget:
Six-year-old Ayub, who came to us silent and withdrawn, is now learning to express himself through signs and sounds — his mother says, “I see my son differently now. I see possibility.”
Your donations make this happen. You make therapy possible. You make meals possible. You make milestones possible.
As we head into the next quarter, we’re expanding our therapist team and preparing to welcome more children from Kawangware and Kiamaiko. Our waiting list is growing — but so is our resolve.Support us again DONATE
