Happy new year to you dear friend and partner. Over the past year, you have been the best thing that happened to kids with disabilities living in the Mathare slums that we have in our food distribution program. We started this project officially in 2020 to respond to the loud cries of kids with disabilities coming from low-income areas who did not have access to food at that time. We have continued with the project two years later because we continue to see the great health benefits that it has had on them and their families.
The transformation is unbelievable, Many of the children in the program who had severe malnutrition cases have fully recovered and are now able to walk and move around on their own . We are talking about children who had severe rickets due to malnutrition.
With your generous contributions in the past year, we have been able to effectively feed one hundred families that have children living with disabilities like Autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, dyslexia, and rickets. The food program is an addition to the already ongoing therapy project where we offer them free occupational, speech, and physical therapy services in the slums of Mathare and Kawangware in Nairobi Kenya.
We would like to do more this year by the Grace of God and by your unwavering support . We believe that the world spins due to the kindness of people like you and us. We call upon you to make us your charity of choice.
Kind Regards,
Kenneth Apopa
CEO
