Thank you for supporting Mercy In Action College of Midwifery's Claudia Booker Memorial Midwife Scholarship fund. We want to let you know your donations are making a big difference in maternal/newborn health outcomes by increasing access to midwifery education for students of color who are becoming midwives!
We want to introduce you to Jada, one of our scholarship recipients who will be graduating from Mercy in Action College of Midwifery in May. We are so proud of her for this accomplishment, especially since Jada will complete our 4-year bachelor's degree program in just three years! This is quite a feat for anyone, and Jada has a family and does community service as well!
While in our program, Jada has consistently demonstrated academic and clinical excellence and contributed her unique viewpoint in every discussion. As graduation looms, Jada has already passed the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) board exam to become a CPM and Arizona Licensed Midwife. Before entering our program, Jada had earned Master's degrees in Divinity and Counseling, now is now adding midwifery to her well-rounded resume as she begins a holistic homebirth practice in her community.
