Nigeria has one of the world's largest populations of out-of-school children due to poverty, insecurity, and inadequate educational infrastructure. This project will construct and equip six child-friendly classrooms, including sanitation facilities and learning materials, to provide quality education for 600 out-of-school children aged 6-14 in Northeast Nigeria over 24 months through community and stakeholder partnerships.
Nigeria has the world's highest number of out-of-school children, with an estimated 18.3-20 million children excluded from education, particularly in the North-East and North-West regions. Overcrowded classrooms, long travel distances, inadequate facilities, poor sanitation, poverty, and early marriage continue to limit access to education. This project will provide safe learning spaces to reduce educational exclusion and improve access to quality education.
This project will construct and equip six child-friendly classrooms, including sanitation facilities and learning resources, to provide quality education for 600 out-of-school children aged 6-14. Implemented over 24 months through community and government partnerships, the project will improve enrollment, retention, and learning outcomes while promoting sustainability through local ownership, teacher training, and long-term maintenance plans.

Improved access to education will increase literacy, school retention, and future employment prospects while reducing child labor and early marriage.
