In the era of digital transformation, access to digital learning opportunities has become increasingly crucial for individuals to succeed in the modern world. Recent data highlights the significance of digital learning in bridging educational gaps and empowering underprivileged individuals. Against this backdrop, the OSCAR Foundation's Digital Learning Center has played a pivotal role in transforming the life of Shaheena (19), a resident of Vashi Naka Mhada colony in Mumbai. Despite facing financial constraints, Shaheena's determination and participation in the program have opened doors to new opportunities, enabling her to secure employment and support her family.
Shaheena, a young woman, has demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination in the face of challenges. Coming from a modest background, Shaheena's father works as a painter, earning a meager income. With the responsibility of her education and the family's expenses weighing heavily on her, Shaheena recognized the need to secure a job to support her family from a young age.
Driven by her creativity and curiosity, Shaheena sought to broaden her skill set and realized the importance of computer literacy in today's job market. Her passion for computers led her to discover the OSCAR Digital Learning Center during a community mobilization event organized by the OSCAR Foundation. Intrigued by the opportunity to learn computer skills, she eagerly enrolled in the program.
Shaheena's dedication to her studies was unwavering. She attended every computer class offered by the Digital Learning Center, diligently absorbing knowledge and practicing the subjects until she became proficient in them. Her determination paid off when she excelled in the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIIT) course exam, securing a position as a telecaller in Wadala.
Balancing work and completing her TY (B.COM) studies, Shaheena has fulfilled her dream of securing a stable job to support her family. Her success has brought immense pride and joy to her parents, who appreciate the OSCAR Foundation for providing the knowledge and platform she needed to thrive. Shaheena's journey exemplifies the power of dedication, hard work, and access to digital learning in transforming lives and creating opportunities.
