Hello,
A few months had passed and we are excited to announce the progress made to finally have the first pilot program to achieve glass recycling officially by joining forces with the private, public and communities of Puerto Rico.
Our main work had in the creation of a Memorandum of Understanding in which all stake holders agree upon and know exactly what their responsibilities are. It is not an easy task but we are closer to achieve it. Once the MoU is signed, we Basura Cero Puerto Rico will proceed to purchase the containers with the dimensions needed. Also, we would like the design for the containers to be done by Puerto Rican artists and we will be providing more information about it in the next months.
Also, we had worked with other community-based organizations to taught them about how to segregate waste or getting to know other initiatives that are working to solve environmental litter and are interested in solutions for glass recycling.
We are close to our first pilot financial goal, if you can please donate or share this initiative with your friends or relatives. This 2022 our organization accomplish 10 years of work and we would like to celebrate it by delivering this project to all of you.

Hace unos meses han pasado y estamos emocionados de poder anunciar los progresos realizados para poder al fin tener el primer programa piloto de reciclaje de vidrio en Puerto Rico al unir fuerzas con el sector privado, público y las comunidades de Puerto Rico.
Durante los últimos meses nuestro mayor foco de trabajo se ha concentrado en la creación de un Memorando de Entendimiento en el cual todos los grupos de interés se entiendan y puedan acordar sus responsabilidades dentro del proyecto. Una vez esto sea concretado, nosotros Basura Cero Puerto Rico procederemos con la compra de dos contenedores con las dimensiones especificadas para el proyecto piloto. De igual manera, deseamos trabajar con artistas Puertorriqueños para el diseño de ambos contenedores por lo que estaremos brindando más información en los próximos meses.
Adicional,ente, hemos trabajado con otras iniciativas de base comunitaria para enseñarles a agregar sus resisuos de forma adecuada o que están interesados en trabajar en soluciones para la contaminación por residuos especialmente el vidrio.
Estamos cerca de lograr nuestra meta financiera para el primer piloto, de ser posible te animamos a que sigas donando o compartas está iniciativa con tus amigos o familiares. Este año 2022 nuestra organización cumple 10 años y nos encantaría poder celebrarlos entregando esté proyecto a todos ustedes.
Deseamos dar gracias a todos por su apoyo, creer en este proyecto y que es posible vivir en un Puerto Rico ambientalmente sostenible.
