Every year in Poland, hundreds of young people leave foster care without family, financial stability, or support. The Christmas Star of Independence campaign provides them with material, financial, and emotional assistance - from therapy and education to essential items for daily life. Together, we can give them a safe, confident start in adulthood and show that someone truly cares.
Every year in Poland, hundreds of young people leave foster care and step into adulthood completely on their own. They face this new beginning without family support, without financial stability, and without someone to guide them through the challenges of independent life.
Through this project, we provide personalized, year-round support to young adults transitioning out of foster care. This includes material aid (like laptops, furniture, and study equipment), financial assistance (covering housing and living essentials), and access to education and therapy. Our goal is to give them a safe, confident start in adult life - one built on stability, skills, and self-belief.
The project helps young adults leaving foster care build stable, independent lives. By providing emotional support, education, and practical tools, we empower them to pursue studies, find jobs, and maintain their well-being. In the long term, this reduces the risk of homelessness, unemployment, and social exclusion - creating a generation of confident, self-reliant young adults who can positively contribute to their communities.
