In Colombia, a significant portion of children live in vulnerable conditions: approximately 67% of children grow up in poverty. Furthermore, according to recent data, 41.6% of the child population faces multidimensional poverty, which implies deficiencies in basic services, education, and housing. This situation limits their access to meaningful experiences, such as safe and nutritious celebrations, especially during times like Christmas.
It guarantees access to a special and nutritious meal, something many cannot enjoy because 67% of children in Colombia grow up in poverty and face food insecurity. It offers recreational activities and socio-emotional support, strengthening their well-being, self-esteem, and sense of belonging. It promotes protective environments where children feel valued, safe, and supported, positively impacting their development and emotional health.
