This Christmas, CAMAAY is creating a fundraiser to ensure that these children will have access to basic needs; for example clothes, toys, and food. This fundraiser will provide an event over the duration of three days where these children in need can have access to non-violence education, child's rights education, games, singing, and dancing.
Over the past 4 years, the Anglophone Crisis in Cameroon has led to thousands of children having a lack of education. As of 2017 nearly 700,000 children have been out of school (Bamenjo 2017).
The children involved will be in a safe community setting while learning about the importance of non-violence and human rights. These children will also be provided with the resources to have an enjoyable holiday season, such as clothes and meals.
Those involved will retain useful information regarding the understanding of human rights and the importance of non-violence. This information will be useful for their future endeavors throughout life. The fundraiser will provide the children with memorable and enjoyable moments during the holiday season.
