The restriction of movement, social isolation and economic insecurity from COVID-19 control measures have made LBTQ women more vulnerable to violence, especially inn the Caribbean where they are criminalised. The community needs advocates now more than ever and who better than themselves.
Caribbean Women & Sexual Diversity Conference (CWSDC) trains LBTQ activists to advocate for themselves and the community. It also provides a space to connect, draw strength and inspiration for the fight from women and activists like themselves
The network of womxn will provide safety, security, support and a voice for all gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex Caribbean people. Educated and empowered LBTQ+ women activists will advance the conversation on equal rights for all people regardless of sexual orientations, gender identity and expressions and sex characteristics.
