Dear Supporter,
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to empower young Chitrali girls through sports and your contributions to Chitral Women's Sports Club (CWSC). CWSC has been the beacon of promoting sports in the far-flung areas of Pakistan by improving recreation, welfare, and opportunities through a global unifier – sports; which make these young girls, future leaders.
Many young individuals are left out due economic conditions, homelessness, and lack of motivation and guidance. CWSC arranged a week-long Football Exchange Program in Islamabad for young and ambitious girls of Chitral. The girls used sports as a means to develop leadership skills, self-confidence and a better grasp on societal challenges and complexities related to them and their communities.
During the week long event, the girls hiked up mountains in Islamabad, received dental hygiene sessions, met the Pakistan sports minister, learned mixed martial arts self-defence by women instructors and more. CWSC noticed a significant change in the girls from shy and reserved to playful and more open about their struggles and feelings. Their exposure to women role models has motivated them to work hard for their future and community so that they too will be a role model one day.
Thank you for your continued support; this funding has provided CWSC with the safety and support they need to successfully implement their programmes and continue to make an impact.
