Children's Parliament for children live in slums

Summary
The children of our Remedial Schools and children of Women Groups are fortunate to participate in this program. This program is organized from the children from the age group of 10-17. Children are motivated to discuss issues that directly affecting their lives. This is an opportunity for the children able to express themselves openly and without fear.
Challenge
The deprived children do not have good access to quality education as their parents are unable to provide them. The children living in vulnerable condition are not raised well and they do not know their rights. The children are forced to discontinue their studies and sent for employment to support their families thereby losing their opportunity. The ambiance in their area make the children to pick up bad habits.
Solution
This program aims at providing training on acquiring leadership qualities, personality development. The objective of this program is to make aware their rights. The children are given information on the political system in India, about the environment. This program helps the children to acquire holistic development.
Long-Term Impact
The long-term impact of this program would be to create a potential society who will be assets of our nation.
Updates:
As per the direction of the government, our activities are stopped for a while and we hope, we will initiate from November 2020.

To organize Children's Parliament Program

Summary
As part of our mission, Prime Trust provides support for the children in slums, children of our women groups by organizing a program called `Children’s Parliament`. This program is designed for children who are in the age group of 8-17 and encourage them to engage in local, national and international democratic processes. Essentially these children are discussing issues that directly affecting their lives. Through these parliaments we believe that every child should be able to express themselves openly and without fear.
Challenge
Since the parents of the children in slums are unable to provide quality education, the children lose their opportunity. The children do not have knowledge of their rights as they are not raised well. The children fail to have good education and they are forced to take up work and earn. Sometimes, the older children are forced to stay at home to take care of the young ones. Thereby the children lose the opportunity to have education.
Solution
Children’s Parliament program aims to provide training on acquiring leadership qualities, personality development. The objective of this program is to make aware their rights. The children are given information on the political system in India, about the environment. This program helps the children to acquire holistic development.

Children's Parliament Program

Summary This program is organized for the children of our Remedial schools and members of Self Help Groups. This program aims for the children from the age group of 10-14 to encourage them to engage in national and international democratic process. These children will be discussing issues that directly affecting their lives. Through this program, we believe that every child should be able to express themselves openly and without fear. Challenge The children in the slums do not have good access to quality education as their parents are unable to provide them. The children living in vulnerable condition are not raised well and they do not know their rights. The children are forced to discontinue their studies and sent for employment to support their families thereby losing their opportunity. The ambiance in their area makes the children to pick up bad habits. Solution Through this program prime trust offers training on acquiring leadership qualities personality development. This program also aims to make the children aware of their rights. The children also get to know the Indian political system, environment and health and hygiene.
