Thank you for making a difference!

FCDE horse-assisted therapy project, Argentina

We are beyond grateful for your support. Your generosity has made such a difference for the children and young people at our projects.

Below are some highlights of what you have helped to make happen over the past few months!

- You helped to make sure that the babies and young children at a residential centre in Argentina were cared for! These children, all below the age of 6, have been removed from their families due to abuse or neglect. Your support is allowing them to have a better start in life.

- You assisted three students in Ghana! All three are being helped by our partner organisation New Life, in Ghana. They are studying education, nursing and fashion design respectively. Your support with their tuition fees, food supplies and other basic needs enables them to empower themselves to have a brighter future.

- You are helping migrant children in China, and children from rural communities to learn. Last semester, you assisted with learning materials for our partner organisation, Stepping Stones, and your help has gone towards further educational materials for the summer too. Stepping Stones provides much-needed classes and support for the children. This includes help with academic subjects and with social-emotional learning. Thank you for making sure these children can receive a better education.

- Your assistance also went towards two food programmes. Refugiu, in Romania, gives food supplies to children and families in two villages in Brasov County. The Future Factory, in South Africa, is involved with a programme providing food supplies and cooked meals to children and families around Cape Town. We are grateful that CHW could continue to support both projects, thanks to the help of people like you.

- Earlier in the year, you made it possible to sponsor horse-assisted therapy for a teenage girl in Argentina, with severe disabilities. She is continuing to benefit greatly from these sessions. This therapy helps her physically and also assists with her mental and emotional development and health.

- We are also grateful to have been able to continue to support ORT SA CAPE's education programmes in South Africa. Thank you to all who contributed to our GlobalGiving page dedicated to that specific project during the recent "July Bonus Day" campaign. This will sponsor places for 12 teachers at ORT SA CAPE's training workshops, allowing children in 12 classrooms around Cape Town to receive a better quality of education.

During the summer months, we are focussing on helping the children get ready for school. Refugiu, in Romania, has asked for assistance with clothes, shoes, school bags and stationery for 15 children and teenagers. Stepping Stones, in China, would also greatly appreciate continued support for educational materials for the migrant children at their centre, and the children in the rural schools that they serve, in time for the new school year in September.

Thank you for caring about the children and young people. Your kindness is life-changing for them.
