Children of the Night WOW
Free Online High School Equivalency Program
Children of the Night WOW (With Out Walls) offers young people in shelters, drop in centers and outreach programs throughout America FREE on-line high school equivalency assessments and tutoring, funding for High School Equivalency testing. We receive clients from the Goodwill of California, donated Backpage.com advertising, Social Workers, Domestic Violence Centers, Drop in Centers, Friends, Hotlines, Maternity Homes Rehabilitation Centers and other shelters.
In 2015 we provided 6482 free online high school equivalency services to 600 clients in 27 states.
434 were Female
161 were Male and
5 were Transgender.
31% of our referrals were from Goodwill
19% were young people who aged out of our residential program
In 2015, our WOW center provided the following services to 600 Clients:
Online tutoring represented 90% of our calls and 27 of the 600 (5%) students successfully passed the High School Equivalency Exam – 10% of the number of students who completed High School Equivalency Assessments. Many of these other students are expected to pass the High School Equivalency Exam in 2016.
