Our partner recently visited Mel and his family to check on their progress. Mel had a huge smile on his face as he said, “I want to thank the American Foundation for Children with Aids, for I am handicapped and they have helped me and my whole family.” Mel’s family has produced many different types of vegetables, but have had the most success with beans. They are thankful to have food in the family and a little money. Just a little money allows them to share with others by giving their offering to the church. Mel and his family feel like they are finally making a contribution to their community.
The report from our partner continues to tell us that the family received 3 rabbits from the project. Those rabbits multiplied and Mel’s family was able to complete their contract. They are able to sell rabbits and also use some of them for food for the family. It’s a great accomplishment for them and they’re quick to encourage their neighbors to join them.
Mel’s children are healthy and well educated and he credits the livestock project for these blessings in his life. Please know that your generosity is making a huge difference in life of this family and many others in the area. Families are receiving the support and education they need to make this project successful. We are changing lives, one family at a time. Mel feels your love, and so do we at the American Foundation for Children with AIDS.
