"Yeladim – Fair Chance for Children" winner of the President's Excellence Award, is a non-profit organization, supporting children and youth from all demographic sectors in Israel, who were placed in Residential Group Homes and Foster Families. For the past 29 years, "Yeladim" has been operating social, therapeutic and educational programs for the sake of these children, in areas which are not provided for by the state. Our leading programs receive matching from the Ministries of Welfare and Education, but rely heavily on donations from foundations, corporate partnerships and private donations.
"Yeladim's" mission – To provide each child with similar opportunities to those accessible to children being raised by their parents in normative homes, so that they too can grow-up to become functioning and contributing members of society.
"Parent Partner" Program
"Yeladim- Fair Chance for Children" runs a new program which strives to establish and develop a unique model for Group Home children and their parents and bring them closer to each other.
This program is based on the notion that parental involvement aids in the child’s development and serves as an opportunity to strengthen child-parent and family bonds.
The Program operates in 3 Group Homes, and will expend to another Group Home during 2016.
In the framework of this program the children and their parents, accompanied by team of social workers, are experiencing normative family activities, such as trips, cultural events, ODT bays, and more.
