The "Moments" exhibition, which took place during June-July 2015, is a product of the ongoing therapeutic work of Yeladim's "Bridge to Independence" program.
The " Bridge to Independence" Program is designated for graduates of Residential Group Homes and Foster Families, with no family backing, who leave the group homes without any support or home to go to.
The program provides housing, support and counseling until they are able to function as independent, productive adults.
The exhibition was born from weekly meetings with the young people participating in the program, finding moments of leisure and tranquility, therapy, and self-creation out of their military service / national service, work and studies
Their artistic products allow us a glimpse to their personal moments
of joy, sadness, thought and observation. These are small and big moments, quiet and stormy, experiences and emotions of their inner world and their complex reality.
In order to formulate this exhibition, the program held several visits to museums and are galleries.
The known and appreciated Israeli artist, Maya Hanoch, accompanied and guided the 16 participates through the process, and the "Kibbutzim Seminar" in T.A generously invited us to join their facilitative creative workshops and opened the Art Gallery of the Faculty of Education where the exhibition was held for a month.
