Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing nutrition and health support for severely disadvantaged youth here. This project is indeed very important since young children who are malnourished have very little chance of growing up as productive adults and their physical condition as well as their mental agility is compromised. Our approach is to provide them with immediate food supply during the initial phase of this project. This reporting period, we progress to providing the families especially the mothers with starter kits so that they are able to cultivate their own gardens. The starter kits comprise vegetable seeds, small garden tools, organic fertilizer and basic illustrated reading materials showing how a small garden is made and managed. We also included in the reading kit simple vegetable-based menu that the family can easily do. We were able to engage a total of 325 families in this manner.

Hoping for your continuing support to our project.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian Sayre

Food supply

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing malnourished children with food especially during times of scarcity here. The problem of low supply of food is difficult for the children and this causes hunger and stunting in many of them. If they are stunted and wasted, their chances in life is very less and the long road ahead of them is a repeat cycle of poverty and malnutrition. This is indeed a difficult situation and the need to help them is paramount. For this reporting period, we continue to provide the most needy children with highly nutritious food supply meanwhile teaching their parents vegetable gardening and the raising of plants that they can get income in the short time. We were able to support 315 children in this manner and they voiced their extreme happiness in being provided with life-saving support. By next reporting period, we will expand the vegetable gardening activity because only in this way they will be able to sustain the provision of continuous supply of food for the children and their families.

Again, thank you very much for your generous support.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian
