Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative children and youth health and nutrition project. This project is very much needed especially now with the coronavirus pandemic affecting even the remote of villages. Health and nutrition is very important and these can be solved by the growing of vegetables in the backyard. This is easy to do and provide a lot of other benefits aside from nutrition. Gardening provides exercise, free the mind from worries and the surplus is an added income for the household. This reporting period we are able to provide support to 300 youth. We are happy also seeing growing vegetables in the backyard. Hoping for your continuing support to this initiative.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian

Nutrition through vegetables

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative assuring health and nutrition improvement for children and youth. A host of factors like climate change, the Coronavirus pandemic and poor soil fertilitty has pushed local families to starvation and famine. The need to provide them sustenance is urgent and we are doing this by raising vegetables and then providing the seedlings to those interested to grow their own food. Seeds are very small and difficult to grow so we do this because we have the technical expertise. Farmers are happy about this and many of them are starting their own gardens. This period a total of 600 families have already planted small plots around their house. We will provide continuing assistance by way of technical advice. Hoping for your continuing assistance to us.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian Sayre

Dear Friend,

Greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our initiative promoting the health and nutition of young people coming from poor families. Our initiative assumes geat relevance especially during this time when the Coronavirus pandemic has no solution yet and the youth is one of the most vulnerable sector in the community. This reporting period we focus on providing nutritious food to targeted youth and children in difficult circumstances. For example when the parent lost their jobs, among others. We were able to support a total of 28 young people and their families by providing food during this reporting period. Hoping for your continuing generosity and support.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian Sayre

Promoting local food
Promoting local food

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our initiative promoting the health and nutrition of disadvantaged youth. The Coronavirus pandemic has made our work more difficult and challenging with supply food chain broken and the lack of nutritious food supply. However this is the best way that we can highlight and promote the utilization of local fruits and vegetables as rich sources of nutrition as compared to the much hyped commercial food which sometimes has less nutritional value. The main issue is that massive advertisements from multinational companies has relegated local foods to low priority and low class by the populace. We will advocate and promote this effort via social media and by word-by-mouth as our volunteers engage the youth in local communities. Hoping for your continuing support.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian Sayre

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generosity in helping us support our project providing for good health and nutrition to children and youth. With the Coronavirus pandemic affecting small, marginal farmers, there is a need to provide them with alternative livelihoods. In this situation, and together with local supporters, we are mobilizing micro-loans to the very poor so that they will be able to continue caring for their families and provide good food. The government is providing support in the barrios but the support is not enough and there is a need for local citizens to pitch and provide help even if small amounts only. We are able to provide 12 families with livelihood loans in this manner.

Hoping for your continuing generosity.

Very sincerely yours,

Jed Christian
